Analog output (AUX or RCA) with no sound or mono output

Analog output (AUX/RCA) with no sound or mono output

This guide can help you resolve issues with no sound or only mono sound when using the analog output (AUX/RCA) on your VANGOA devices.

Before you begin:

- Ensure your VANGOA device is powered on and playing audio.

- Verify that the connected amplifier or speakers are powered on and set to the correct analog input.

- Turn up the volume on both your VANGOA device and the external audio device.

Step 1: Check Cable Type and Connection

1. Ensure you are using a stereo cable, not a mono cable.

2. For the 3.5mm AUX output, use TRS stereo cable (tip-loop-sleeve).

3. For the RCA output, ensure both the left (white) and right (red) cables are connected.

*Using a mono cable will result in only one channel producing sound, or no sound at all.

Step 2: Check Left and Right Channel Connections

1. Ensure both left and right channels are connected to the correct inputs.

2. If only one speaker is producing sound, swap the left and right speaker cables to test.

3. Check if the amplifier or powered speakers are set to mono input mode.

4. Ensure the device is not muted and the volume is above the minimum value.

Step 3: Check Speaker and Amplifier Settings

1. Ensure the amplifier supports stereo analog input.

Turn off all bridged, mono, or balanced modes on the amplifier.

3. Check the balance control and confirm it is centered.

*Incorrect balance settings may result in one channel having no sound.

Step 4: Test with a different cable or device

1. Replace the analog cable with another known good cable.

2. Connect the VANOA analog output to different amplifiers or active speakers.

3. Test the original amplifier using other audio sources.

This helps determine whether the problem is caused by the cable, the VANOA device, or an external device.

Notes

- A volume that is too low may be mistaken for no sound—be sure to test at a medium volume.

Troubleshooting Tips

1. Turn off all connected devices, unplug the power for 30 seconds, and then restart.

2. Avoid using headphone adapters designed specifically for microphones or mobile phones.

3. If the problem persists, contact VANGOA technical support and provide your device model and connection details.
